The Tygerberg Art Centre is situated in Du Toit street in Parow, close to the central business district.
We were established in 1975 by Mr Jack Meyer for the purpose of offering art education to children of residents in the Northern Suburbs of the Cape Peninsula.

We offer Visual Art and Design to highschool students for FET (Further Education and Training). ie: Edgemead High School, Bellville High School, De Kuilen High, Brackenfell High, Parow High, DF Malan High, Tygerberg High, Fairmont High, Durbanville High, Bosmansdam High as well as many other and home school students as well. Our fascillities include lecture rooms, a library, studios for ceramics , graphics , painting, jewelry, textiles, illustration and studios for general art and a tuckshop.

We offer morning classes to various primary schools on a booking basis. For bookings click HERE or phone 021-939-9293.
Voluntary art classes are offered to both primary and high school students in the afternoons. For further information click on the relevant links or use the navigation bar on the left.
We also support Belhar Focus and Chris Hani Focus schools with their design and visual arts program and Tygerberg Highschool Grade 8 & 9 with their arts & culture program.
Our outreach program includes the Tygerberg Hospital School Primary school learners and their Ithuba teenage pshychiatric group.
